1. Who you're contracting with
Quizzley is operated by Dapt UK Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 12841536), with its registered office at 3rd Floor, The Coade, 98 Vauxhall Walk, London, SE11 5EL, trading as "Quizzley" ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms.
2. The service
Quizzley is a platform for building, hosting and running pub-style quiz nights, including AI-assisted quiz generation, big-screen leaderboards and team play.
3. Your account
You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials confidential, and are responsible for activity under your account. If you sign up on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it. You must be of legal age in your country to enter into this agreement.
4. Acceptable use
You must not:
- Use the service for unlawful purposes, fraud, or spam.
- Infringe intellectual property or privacy rights of others.
- Interfere with security (malware, probing, scraping, denial-of-service).
- Reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the service, or circumvent technical limits.
5. AI-generated content
- You are responsible for your prompts, your use of outputs, verifying accuracy, and ensuring you have rights to any content you input.
- AI outputs may be inaccurate or out-of-date and must not be relied upon as professional advice without independent verification.
- We may filter, restrict or remove content and may suspend accounts that misuse AI features (e.g. illegal content, hate speech, deepfakes, malware, jailbreaking).
- Rights-holders may submit takedown requests via our contact page; repeated infringement may result in termination.
6. Intellectual property
We retain all rights in the Quizzley platform, software, branding and documentation. You retain ownership of quiz content you create, and grant us a limited licence to host, store and process it solely to provide the service. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service in line with your plan.
7. Payments and subscriptions
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, taxes, renewal and cancellation mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms.
Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
8. Refunds
See our Refund Policy.
9. Service availability
We work hard to keep Quizzley running, but we do not guarantee 100% uptime or that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free. We may perform maintenance or release updates that temporarily affect availability.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated/serious policy violations. On termination, your right to use the service ends; we will provide a reasonable window to export your data where practicable before deletion.
11. Warranties and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and we disclaim all implied warranties (including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose). We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages (including loss of profits, data or goodwill). Our aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited under law.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your content, unlawful use of the service, or breach of these Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts, unless a mandatory consumer law in your country provides otherwise.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms; continued use after changes means you accept them. We'll flag material changes via the service or email.
